The OV2640 is a 2 megapixel color CMOS image sensor designed by OmniVision. It has a wide angle of 120°, and provides full-frame and sub-sampled images in multiple formats, including UXGA (1632×1232). It can run at up to 15 frames per second (fps) at UXGA resolution. It uses a small package size and is suitable for embedded applications. It is widely used in smart toys, PC multimedia, digital cameras, etc.
